About Us
February 26th, 2007 by tedWe’re a group of guys with a passion for wine, technology and user experience. With Vino2Vino, our goal is to build an extensible platform that will consolidate information about wine into a central location and to make this information broadly accessible worldwide. Our initial product includes a browseable website (you’re probably there now), a mobile platform and a set of tools and widgets to allow people to interoperate with the core platform. Rest assured, there is a lot more coming!
Ted Malone, chief wine guy, has spent the past 20 years working in various technology and consumer companies. Ted will be a frequent contributor to the V2V blog, primarily on the business side of things. You can send Ted your business ideas here.
Mike Malone, chief tech dude, is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Business Information Technology. Mike will be posting in the areas of technology and extensibility. If you find any bugs, send them to Mike.
In addition to Ted and Mike, there are a number of advisors to the company who basically just sit around, drink wine and throw ideas over the fence. They might end up poking their heads in here every once in a while.
We hope you enjoy yourself!

I was wondering if anyone had tried our small production brand from Dry Creek Valley - Puccioni Old Vine Zinfandel 2004. We have been growing grapes in Dry Creek Valley since 1904. Our Zinfandel is composed of those over 100 year old grapes. Let us know if you would like to give us a try.

I recently bought quite a few bottles of your Santa Carolina Merlot and Cabernet. We have always liked your wines, but were disappointed to find that a bottle of the Merlot 2004 was “unfinished”. When we first opened the bottle and drank a glass, both my husband and I thought that the wine was “off”. After caping it and trying it again the next day, there was actually a pop when we uncorked it. Tasting it again only reinforced our decision that the wine was not good. I can’t imagine that you haven’t had any other comments about this wine, but thought I would let you know of our disappointment as well.

Love the site. Wondering if there are any plans to make the search more robust. For example, price range, rating, etc.
